This role leads service productivity improvement operations to support increased efficiencies in quality service execution and delivery for the SBU. Leads/governs the development and execution of program priorities focused on the delivery of variable cost productivity benefits/KPIs in support of SBU standard margin.. The leader engages cross-functionally to deliver world class services to Applied Materials’ customers in the semiconductor industry. This is an entrepreneurial high growth business opportunity within the Applied Global Services Business Unit
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for all service productivity operations aspects of the Field Operations team in the MDP Service Business Unit
Assesses, identifies, and prioritizes variable cost focus areas for improvement
Develops relevant productivity improvement strategic and operating plans and KPIs
Implements key development roadmaps including enhanced tooling, supporting diagnostics capabilities, Field Service digital capabilities and preventative and corrective maintenance efficiency improvements
Leverages existing productivity improvement initiatives across organization to accelerate execution and improve efficiencies
Provides productivity feedback and input to NPI Design for Serviceability stage of product life cycle
Builds strong teams and cross-functional engagement across multiple geographies
Communicates service productivity operations progress /execution to senior executives and stakeholders
Desired Skills, Competencies & Experience
Technical degree with minimum 7+ years of relevant experience. Component or film-based ops experience servicing semiconductor markets a plus.
Extremely proactive and strong leadership by example, can lead/manage through ambiguity
Strong operations experience with a performance-based track record, productivity leadership experience a plus.
Strong engineering (industrial engineering preference), quality systems, program management background i.e. PMI, Lean, Six Sigma
Customer focused - Strong business acumen with previous engineering experience
Highly respected technical and operations focused leader
Experience with production line or manufacturing environment processes
Positive can-do hands-on entrepreneurial attitude that builds support for operational needs
Strong communication skills and interpersonal presence that extends confidence and humility
Experience building and delivering executive level presentations
Ability to effectively manage and deliver to multiple KPIs
Critical thinking and ability to influence and communicate effectively with multiple internal stakeholders (engineering, finance, quality, strategy, management)
Excellent time management and project management skills

U.S. Salary Range:
$124,000.00 - $171,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
