As a Material Handler you will be responsible for safely and timely moving raw materials, work in process (WIP), finished goods, and scrap materials on a forklift throughout the facility. A Material Handler is key for the facility to meet production and delivery expectations. Material Handler

Responsibilities
- Observe all Safety precautions, Food Safety requirements and plant rules to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment.
- Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Supply machines with required and correct materials.
- Transport finished goods pallets to staging area as directed.
- Safely operate shrink wrap machines and document alarms or nonconformities as directed.
- Operate resin handling system including bulk rail car unloading system, silo, bin, storage, and conveying system from bins to machines.
- Transport nonconforming / rejected product to/from hold areas as required.
- Collect and move scrap items to the appropriate scrap area.
- Operate grinder, clear jams, clean grinding area, if applicable.
Qualifications
- Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of maintaining an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
- Negative drug screen test results.
- Capable of operating a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) in a safe and cautious manner. Must pass the PIT operator test and obtain a valid Berry PIT license.
