Responsibilities
Job Summary:
This position ensures that production runs efficiently by preparing and cleaning tools for production, and equipment conversion. Also supports production operations while maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Compression molder and downstream equipment conversions
- Preventative maintenance activities
- Toolroom support as required
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow good manufacturing practices
- Participate in daily team meetings
- Stop, report, correct any issues associated with unsafe machine or operating conditions
- Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any nonconforming product or quality systems
- Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality system
- Verify the implementation of solutions
- Reading tool drawings assembly prints
- Using precision measurement tools (calipers, indicators, setup fixture, feeler gages)
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime.
- High school diploma or degree in related field
- Read, write, and speak English.
- Capable of Utilizing Berry’s operating and support systems (JDE, Ignition, WebEFF, etc.).
- Experience/proven ability within the specified disciplines.
- Previous manufacturing experience a plus
- Complete mechanical comprehension test
