PURPOSE: To manage and oversee HR activities relating to personnel, safety, training and company benefits for the Lawrence, KS Molding Plant
Responsibilities
Maintain “hands on” responsibility for the Human Resources functional area
Responsible for the interpretation and application of Human Resources policies, recommending changes and monitoring compliance
Build, maintain, and grow community engagement/workforce development programs
Manage all Human Resources programs such as recruitment, compensation, diversity, performance management, employee training
Counsel employees, supervisors, and managers on matters of company policy and disciplinary measures.
Develop and maintain wage and compensation programs.
Foster a positive plant culture through employee recognition, listening programs, and engagement activities
Align HR goals with plant and corporate objectives
Establish and maintain open and effective communication with employees
Represent company in unemployment, insurance, and other external claims
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources, Business Management preferred, and at least five years of related experience preferred
Knowledge of personnel, safety laws and requirements.
Proven ability to lead, motivate and direct employees.
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
SPHR or PHR Accreditation is a plus
Experienced conflict resolution, problem solving, and analytical skills
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
