PURPOSE: Ensure buildings, grounds and support systems are maintained to sustain safety goals, production requirements and company, federal, state and local policies and procedures.
Starting Pay: $27.14 plus $1.00 shift differential
Schedule: 12-hour Night Shift (7pm-7am). Train on days for 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Enhance the safety culture within the Facility Maintenance department.
- Support all departments to maintain a safe and productive facility.
- Develop department personnel and foster technical expertise.
- Maintain plant infrastructure and materials systems equipment.
- Identify, research, submit and manage capital expenditure projects for the department.
- Solicit and approve bids from external contractors.
- Maintain the preventative maintenance program for major equipment.
- Manage the department parts ordering process. plant sanitation standards per ISO/SQF guidelines and priorities and communicate priorities to department personnel.
- Manage Facility Maintenance spending.
- Maintain pest control standards per ISO/SQF guidelines.
- Schedule facility maintenance, housekeeping and grounds keeping personnel.
- Schedule contractor work and oversee activities.
- Identify and act upon opportunities for improvement.
- Act under the direction of the Facilities Engineering Manager and function as a backup in their absence.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of HVAC, compressed air, chilled water and dry bulk conveyance systems.
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience; industrial maintenance setting preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Proven safety record and strong safety focus.
- Proficient troubleshooting ability.
- Proven dependability and reliability.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend or stoop for extended period of time.
