Responsibilities
1. Start-up and Shut-down of Injection Molding lines.2. Create & Oversee the use of process sheets.3. Optimize machine part quality and cycle rate.4. Check part quality for defects as often as time permits and if needed, correct accordingly.5. Pull one shot of parts and turnover to quality assurance.6. Training and support of the Process Technicians.7. Record “Material Percentages Sheet” data from the Process Technician into the “Traceability” system.8. Ensure all production equipment is operational and perform minor repairs if necessary.9. Notify Maintenance if a machine failure occurs.10. Maintain the department in a clean and orderly manner.11. Record production results at the end of the shift in the WebEFF system and communicate assigned shift updates.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma/GED Equivalent.2. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.3. Prior Injection Molding experience preferred.4. Able to stand/walk for 7 hours of an 8-hour shift or 11 hours of a 12-hour shift.5. Able to work overhead or in awkward positions on a frequent basis.6. Ability to occasionally climb ladders/steps safely and without assistance.7. Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 100 pounds with assistance occasionally.8. Ability to push/pull loads in excess of 100 pounds occasionally.9. Ability to occasionally climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance.10. Ability to safely operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to others. Applicant must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.11. Hearing sufficient to recognize and respond to shouted warnings, alarms and horns on forklifts
12. Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to contact other coworkers in other areas of the complex.13. Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.14. Steroptic vision of 20/40 or better and peripheral vision of 70 degrees or greater and ability to read 10-12 point font at a distance of 12-18 inches.15. Bending and lifting ability adequate to shovel material.16. Ability to work in dusty/smoky environment on an intermittent basis.17. Proven ability to lead, motivate and direct employees
