We are looking for a Product Designer - Pet Health in Seattle, WA or Boston, MA offices only to join the Chewy Pet Health design team. You are able can translate customer needs into well-crafted products. You'll know how to build product experiences that allow pet parents, businesses, and veterinarians to accomplish their goals in the most sophisticated and enjoyable way possible. You'll report into the Associate Director, Product Design.
What You'll Do:
- Transform customer goals into compelling product experiences that provide pet parents with simple, intuitive solutions for leading their pets' health, from daily care to telemedicine services.
- Develop multiple design solutions for a variety of products and platforms, specifically passionate about pet health services such as Care Plans, Vet Connect (telemedicine), and pet medication management.
- Be responsible for the design process for your projects end-to-end: Discovery and concept brainstorming, user flows and wireframes, and full-fidelity prototypes for web and mobile experiences that cater to both pet owners and veterinary professionals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, veterinarians, developers, content strategists, user researchers, and other designers to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet both user needs and business objectives.
- Champion consistency and cohesion across Chewy Vet Care’s suite of products, ensuring a detailed experience for pet parents and veterinary partners.
- Present your design process, inspiration, and decisions to key partners, including the leadership team and cross-functional partners.
- Contribute to championing Chewy's culture, values, and principles within your team and the broader design practice.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
- 1+ years of experience leading large-scale product design programs.
- Experience delivering high-quality digital products that delivered results and demonstrate the depth of your design skills; illustrated in a portfolio or case studies.
- Experience communicating, and present sophisticated problems.
- Evaluate the customer and growth of your design decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent degree) in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience with the design field.
- You may require travel and time in the local office.
Bonus:
- Experience in pet healthcare, telemedicine, or pharmacy services is a plus.
- Experience crafting for platforms that integrate Ecommerce with healthcare (e.g., running prescriptions, appointment scheduling, and pet health records).
- Familiarity with sophisticated user flows, including pet health management tools, subscription services, and product delivery systems.
- Visual design and UI skills with a focus on delivering accessible and engaging user interfaces for a diverse user base, including pet parents and veterinarians.
Compensation & Benefits:
Our salary range for a Product Designer position is $115,500.00 - $183,500.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k, and a new hire and annual equity grant.
