As part of this mission, the Chewy Health Services team is hiring an Associate Director Product Manager – Chewy Vet Care (CVC) in our Bellevue, WA office to help us build a suite of services that enable a seamless payments/checkout experience for the software package we use in CVC practices, Rhapsody. The initial focus of this work is to provide a low friction checkout experience for pet parents and our CVC care team, but the role will also be owning work across our PIMS product more broadly overtime. This position is a rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a team that seeks to reinvent how care is delivered in the pet health industry, and work in a dynamic and innovative team.
You will be responsible and own the building out a roadmap, getting alignment with stakeholders, managing intake and prioritizing dev work. In addition this role will be responsible for ensuring the features are delivered as planned, tracking to KPIs, and for monitoring trends from metrics for optimization and continuous improvement.
As an Associate Director for our Rhapsody PIMS product you will work cross-functionally across Product, Design, Technology, Merchandising, Customer Service, Operations, and Executive leadership teams to create, build, and execute a product vision and multi-year roadmap to complement the growth of our new Chewy Vet Care business.
Our opportunity:
- Use your customer focused mindset to drive best in class PIMS experience for both care team members and pet parents.
- Serve as the primary contact for Checkout in Rhapsody and CVC.
- Be the expert in the use cases and users/customer types that use Rhapsody’s checkout.
- Write detailed requirements and use case/stories and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Imagine and explore the feasibility of bold, new ideas that will be impactful to pet parents or care team in the area of checkout.
- Define and analyze measures of success (KPIs) for new features and enhancements; transform these customer and business insights into clear requirements for product enhancements and new features.
- Write compelling narratives outlining both short and long-term product visions
- Partner with payments team to align with them on back-end functionalities your work is presenting in the UI.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap and prioritized product backlog ensuring product vision aligns with both customer and business goals.
- Create mechanisms to track progress and deliverables related to product/feature suite you own across all tech and non-tech tracks
- Identify and proactively mitigate risks to project deliverables and timelines
- Monitor performance of your product(s) and measure impact of product enhancements; communicate impact clearly across the organization and use to drive prioritization
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal (and external) teams to deliver features with strong customer and business value
What You’ll Need:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in digital product management or related field
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field
- Direct experience working with EMR, PIMS or health information management tech.
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, develop, deliver and scale products or services that deliver measurable customer & business benefit
- Proven track record of delivering projects from start to finish
- Comfortable with the “storytelling” of product, the crafting of a vision that speaks to a customer based on qualitative data and backed by quantitative data and customer insights.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling a customer facing checkout experiences in a retail, healthcare, hospitality or consumer services business.
- Demonstrated expertise in medical (human or animal) technologies and platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive, and a collaborative work style
- Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights
- Aptitude to analyze, communicate and present metrics, plans and decisions effectively to support recommendations across a large organization
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
Bonus:
- Strong understanding of the overall pet care industry and recent trends
- In depth experience and understanding of the veterinary profession in the US
Compensation & Benefits:
Our salary range for a AD Product Manager position is $156,000.00 - $255,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k, and a new hire and annual equity grant.
