Engineering Manager – Flite
Location: In-person (or New York-based if preferred)
Compensation: $70K-$90K + Stock Options

After a year of explosive growth, we’re ready to bring on our first Engineering Manager—a leader who’s both a visionary and a hands-on executor. What You’ll Do
- Define and own the technical vision for all Flite products, creating a roadmap that drives innovation and scalability.
- Lead and manage the engineering team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability.
- Stay hands-on: Conduct code reviews, design scalable architectures, and troubleshoot critical issues when needed.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Manage production environments, optimizing system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and leadership teams to ensure technical efforts align with business goals.
- Drive the development of our mobile app, built with Swift, ensuring it remains a top-tier user experience.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience in engineering leadership or technical management, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong expertise in full-stack development (Node.js, React, MongoDB, or similar stacks).
- Proven experience in Swift-based iOS app development, with a solid understanding of Apple’s ecosystem and best practices.
- Deep knowledge of system design and architecture for scalable, high-availability applications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and monitoring tools for production environments.
- Strong grasp of Agile methodologies, DevOps principles, and best practices in software development (TDD/BDD).
- A visionary leader who can balance long-term strategy with short-term execution.
- Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of mentoring and inspiring your team to achieve their best.
