VadaTech, Inc., a leading manufacturer of aerospace technology, is seeking qualified candidates for a Manufacturing Facilities Manager at our manufacturing and operations facilities in Henderson, Nevada.
The Manufacturing Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of key infrastructure systems within the facility, including building water filtration systems, machine shop and metal shop equipment, and nitrogen air compressors. This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently, meet safety and regulatory standards, and support production objectives. This role also ensures the operation and maintenance of all building components and maintains service-related warranties and maintenance schedules. The person in this role is responsible for conducting regular inspections of all areas of VadaTech facilities. This includes managing service providers for: electrical, HVAC, building access control, landscaping, housekeeping, etc. Performs assessment and oversight of installations, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting. Works with the manufacturing management team for equipment installations, maintenance, and workspace set-up and reconfiguration. This is sometimes a hands-on role.

General Maintenance of all Vadatech Facilities and Property:
· Assessment and oversight of installation, inspections, repairs, trouble shooting and daily maintenance of buildings, infrastructures, and facility equipment. Responsible for keeping buildings and facilities in excellent working conditions to comply with environmental, health, and safety policies.
· Water Filtration System Management:
o Oversee the operation and maintenance of the facility’s water filtration system to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
o Conduct routine inspections and water quality testing.
o Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to prevent system failures.
· Machine and Metal Shop Maintenance:
o Manage the maintenance and repair of machine shop and metal shop equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and cutting tools.
· Nitrogen Air Compressor Systems:
o Supervise the operation and maintenance of nitrogen air compressors to support production lines.
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to pressure, flow, and efficiency.
o Schedule and oversee compressor inspections and certifications.
· Facility Maintenance and Operations:
o Ensure the overall maintenance of the manufacturing facility, including HVAC, lighting, and building infrastructure.
o Lead a team of technicians and contractors to address facility-related needs efficiently.
o Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability programs.
· Project Management:
o Plan and execute facility upgrades, expansions, and improvement projects.
o Collaborate with engineering and production teams to align facilities with operational needs.
Vendor Management:
· Conduct due diligence in identifying, verifying, and securing vendors, and managing existing vendor relationships (e.g., janitorial and facilities supply companies). Procure appropriate bids from external providers to ensure that goods, services, or works are suitable and are obtained at the best possible cost, quality, quantity, time, and location to meet company needs.
· Oversee contractors for any facility renovations and maintenance at all VadaTech Henderson properties. Responsible for creating and complying with all repair and janitorial schedules.
· Contribute to the negotiation and oversight of service contracts and approval of payments.
· Responsible for conducting regular inspections of all areas of the multiple Vadatech facilities.
· Procure all necessary permits, extensions, and documentation for any work done on VadaTech premises.
· Act as a liaison between facilities management and other departments.
Financial Management:
· Contributes to the preparation of annual maintenance budget and ensures that all expenses are approved based on such budget.
Safety Management:
· Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure all systems meet OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory requirements.
o Conduct regular safety training and facility audits.
o Develop emergency response plans for critical system failures.
Staff Management:
Manage a small facilities staff. Supervises designated employees: communicates expectations; monitors and appraises job results; counsels and disciplines as needed; provides appropriate training and development; interviews applicants and selects new employees; monitors attendance.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Education: Certification in Facilities Management, or Associates in Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- 5+ years in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
o Experience managing vendors and building codes/systems
- Experience with water filtration systems, machine shop equipment, and nitrogen air compressors is highly desirable.
o Demonstrated knowledge and experience of building infrastructure including HVAC and electrical
o Experience in managing staff.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CMMS software and maintenance tracking systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment troubleshooting.
- Certifications:
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
- Certifications in water systems or air compressor maintenance are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
o Proficiency in developing preventative maintenance schedules and managing budgets.
o Knowledge of OSHA and Industrial safety concepts, practices, and procedures
o General computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Ticketing System experience
o Ability to prioritize a variety of needs and requests
o Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace
o Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
o Fluent domain of the English language: ability to read, write and speak English well
o Ability to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
o Valid driver license and legal authority to work in the US
Physical Demands:
