Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:Under the direction of the Process Manager, Set up technician is responsible for the activities related to the setup/changeover of molds, maintenance of, and efficiency of downstream auxiliary equipment (including but not limited to: Leak Detect Systems, Opacity Sensors, Rocker Sensors, Mod-Packers, and Robot Packers). Position has goal of reducing changeover times and scrap generation from inspection devices and automated packers.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES: Follow all safety rules and position SOP’s Record keeping and general administrative duties. Participation in team activities and team meetings. Active participation in problem solving initiatives. Able to be trained and to train others. Maintenance of cleanliness of plant and facility. Advancement in job skills. Possess basic computer skills and ability to share statistical performance data. Prior experience operating/maintaining industrial machinery/equipment. Mold setup, product quality from First piece Attend any and all training classes provided by the company. Setup and troubleshooting of Mod-Packers and Robot Packers Work in close cooperation with post molding technicians and maintenance team and communicate effectively with all departments. Must be punctual and have minimum attendance discrepancies. Other duties as assigned. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: High school degree or equivalent. Basic computer skills and ability to share statistical performance data. Pass drug screen, physical, and background check. Communication skills both written and verbal. Able to work continuous operation schedule (days/nights/weekends). Be available to work a reasonable amount of overtime, if required. Communication of quality issues to production/quality personnel in a timely manner. Prior experience operating/maintaining industrial machinery/equipment. Ability to read, interpret and perform the physical requirements related to the SOP’s.
