About the Role:
We are seeking an Assembler to join our Control Assembly team. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete mechanical assembly of Eriez industrial metal detectors, including coil winding, potting and the installation of waterproof liners. Each assembler must maintain Eriez strict standards to ensure the easier electronic tuning and the proper operation of every metal detector. This position ensures customer satisfaction by providing safe, reliable operation of Eriez metal detection equipment that is intended to protect our customers and their customers.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble/wind MD coil assemblies to meet established standards.
- Perform assembly work in metal detector as directed by supervisor/leadman.
- Assemble basic Metal Detectors and systems.
- Operate and maintain the foam machine.
- Proper layout, drill, tap, cut, grind, etc. as required.
- Willing and able to work with others as required.
- Perform other similar and related duties as assigned.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Complete tasks timely and efficiently in accordance with expectations as directed by supervisor.
- Able to operate tools including but not limited to, hand tools, manual machine tools, torch, drill press, thermo-plastic welding equipment, etc.
- Ability to learn Eriez labor and work order collection system.
- Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and perform basic shop math, including decimals and fractions.
- Experience with epoxies and adhesives in assembly processes is a plus.
- Able to use specialized tools/fixtures, both electrical and mechanical to complete assembly.
- Able to properly use and handle epoxies, compounds, chemicals, and dispensing equipment.
- Experience with basic conveyor systems, motors/drives, and pneumatics.
- Must be able to work with a wide variety of hand and power tools; manual dexterity to assemble small fragile components.

Hourly pay (starting from) : $19.19/hr.
