Ironwear, a leader in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) manufacturing, is looking for a certified Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the efficiency and safety of our operations, assisting in the movement and handling of goods while adhering to safety procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials and products within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklifts and other equipment for defects before use.
- Safely stack and unstack goods in accordance with ISO quality standards.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of material movements and reports.
- Assist in inventory control and managing stock levels.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient workflow.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and management regarding material needs and inventory status.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory management.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with warehouse management software is a plus.
- Proficient in using hand-held scanners and barcode systems.
