The Enterprise Data Protection Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining data protection strategies and technical processes/controls to safeguard the organization’s sensitive information. This role involves working closely with various departments to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices.
This position is an onsite job located at our Austin, TX campus.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor cloud environments for security incidents and anomalies.
Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for cloud services.
Implement security controls and best practices for cloud configurations.
Collaborate with cloud service providers to ensure compliance with security standards.
Respond to security incidents and perform forensic analysis in cloud environments.
Educate teams on cloud security best practices and policies.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of cloud assets and vulnerabilities.
Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
Report on vulnerability status and remediation progress to stakeholders.
Configure and lead operations of multiple information security technologies and appliances.
Review information security issues and assign to relevant support group.
Routinely review and plan for remediating application vulnerabilities, missing patches, and application configuration issues.
Update, create and define security metrics & dashboards.
Provide and drive information security awareness and training.
Follow and maintain information security standards, procedures & guidelines and process exceptions.
Implement and provide evaluation feedback for new or updates to security solutions. Work with internal customers to implement information security solutions.
Conduct security review of on-premise & Cloud services and recommend solutions.
Support internal and external assessments and audits. Report information security administration processes and practices violations.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus
Ability to work and communicate effectively as an individual contributor or as part of a cross functional team to meet common objectives
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
4+ years of relevant cloud security experience.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISA, or CompTIA Security+.
Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and tools.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

U.S. Salary Range:
$108,000.00 - $148,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
