Job Summary: Plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control all training personnel in the printing department.

Mainly 1st shift. Requires flexibility to support all production shifts
Hourly Position
Hiring Bonus: $1,000.00
Referral Bonus: $1,000.00 per referral

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Daily and/or periodic print press inspections to evaluate print quality of the product.
- Based on findings, provides support to the print personnel to bring print quality into target and/or specification.
- Trends findings for training opportunities.
- Work with department leaders to form effective preventive methods and training programs. Evaluate the effectiveness of the actions taken and training provided.
- Facilitate training of all new to printing personnel on printing equipment.
- Facilitate training of all existing printing personnel on new equipment.
- Evaluate new to printing personnel and provide additional training.
- Work in a team environment and help others as needed.
- Supports and investigates situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk.
- Manage training records.
- Lead required meetings.
- Maintain and enforce all company EH&S requirements.
- Follow all safety, food safety practices (GMP’s), and HACCP Practices
- Know and apply the Quality Policy and Food Safety Policy to working practices
- Work with customers.
- Manage samples and retains.
- Work on Safety and Continuous Improvement Projects as needed.
- Will receive direction from the Print Department Manager.
- All other tasks assigned by Supervisor or Manager

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. BS is preferred. Three years or more of accumulative experience in Quality Assurance position in an industrial environment. Computer knowledge in MS Word and Excel will be necessary. Prefer to have experience in Outlook or equivalent email programs. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements such as training records, document control, revision, distribution, and corrective/preventative action processes.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Use of mathematical skills in spreadsheets desired.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
