Salary Range: $135,000-$150,000/yr base plus bonus

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including lumber supply, production, and deliveries. The Plant General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the facility, leading the entire operational team on-site, ensuring an efficient and effective operation in delivering quality products to our customers and maintaining security and operability of all assets at the site.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and drive a culture of safety in all levels of operations and abide by state and federal regulations.
- Accountable for profit and loss of the facility.
- Manufacturing, including throughput, cost and waste control, maintenance, quality, inventories control and meeting budgeted production metrics as well as company KPIs.
- Sales, including local sales, customer service, and partnering with sales team to establish and meet facility sales goals, identifying and targeting market segments, and deploying division pricing strategy.
- Strategic planning, including business, marketing and capital planning processes.
- Financial management, including establishing and managing budgets and compliance with financial controls.
- Drive a HPC (high performance culture), rich in respect, rewards, and accountability.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Provide detailed metrics of the categories below to management team daily:
Raw lumber inventory Cut lumber inventory Unfinished goods in process Finished goods
- Create and manage daily schedules for production team that ensure company expectations are met.
- Create training materials and ensure all employees are trained to operate equipment in a safe manner using required safety equipment.
- Manage production processes to ensure orders are on time and meet quality assurance protocols.
- Contribute to and implement strategies for business growth in conjunction with management.
- Create methods for improving internal processes for better productivity.
- Assist in hiring employees and perform annual evaluations.
- Responding to customer calls and assisting in customer orders, concerns, and requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Keen strategic thinking and planning.
- Provide excellent leadership skills and motivate, coach and keep a positive team morale.
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Being able to shift on the fly as project change
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient computer and software skills (Microsoft Office Package)
- Seven to ten years of industrial wood products/packaging experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT & ATTRIBUTES
- Lumber remanufacturing facility with cutting and assembly equipment.
- Indoor office area with outdoor production and lumber yard management.
- Hearing protection, eyewear and steel-toed shoes required.
- Initial travel expected, including participation in training and possible customer visits.
