The Role:
We are looking for a Sales Planning Analyst to support Sales Planning for our North American beverage business. The Sales Planning Analyst plays a critical role in development & execution of our sales forecasting practices, business objectives (KPIs), commercial strategy, cross-functional processes, & collaboration. The Sales Planning Analyst reports into the Sr. Manager, Sales Planning & serves as a bridge between sales teams & operations, finance, & leadership groups. You will own the gathering & roll up of customer inputs/projections needed for integrated business planning. In the other direction, the Sales Planning Analyst will ensure the sales team is provided the information & tools needed to plan & execute their business. Key Responsibilities:
- Work with assigned sales team(s) to build a comprehensive sales plan by customer & item for monthly forecasting, annual business planning, & KPI setting.
- Support broader planning team with analytical support; file actualization, performance tracking, dataflow management, and other ad-hoc requests.
- Support assigned sales team(s) with analysis of their business/reporting and communication around new item launches, marketing initiatives, and other rituals & routines.
- Help track & analyze the flow of sales volume from Congo warehouses all the way through the register.
- Represent Sales within S&OP and forecasting cycles for assigned channel coverage - will work closely with Demand Planning & Customer Service teams.
- Work with Marketing & Strategy teams to ensure their key objectives are integrated into sales plans & executed against.
Key Skills and Experience Preferred:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, sales planning/coordination, operations, or data analytics with a preference toward sales analytics & forecasting.
- Experience in CPG, Sports Nutrition, or Beverage sales and/or sales support preferred.
- Strong in Excel, Power BI / Dataflows, data modeling, & reporting.
- Comfortable pulling raw internal & external/syndicated sales data (E.g. SAP, NetSuite, Spins, IRI, Neilsen, VIP, & Customer Portals like RetailLink, ILA, 84.51 etc.
- Proven strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data and insights to non-technical audiences.
- Strong project management and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
