Overview
Supervise auxiliary equipment maintenance personnel in repair and maintenance of all machinery and equipment used in plastics production, plus building and grounds other than outside yearly contracts. Responsible to coordinate new project development for equipment moves and new equipment installation. Manage training as needed for maintenance staff.

Responsibilities
- Observe all Safety precautions, Food Safety requirements and Plant rules to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment.
- Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain good housekeeping and 5S.
- Assure and enforce plant rules are followed within the department.
- Train members of the departments on procedures and policies as needed.
- Schedule and track vacation requests from employees in the departments and arrange the coverage needed to support the facility.
- Understand and monitor JDE online production schedule.
- Be able to create presentations of department metrics for communication to management.
- Setting up and operation of cut and fold machines, slitters, high speed folders.
- Supporting and understanding lining machines, both compression lining and offline lining.
- Supporting and understanding of decoration equipment to include offset printing and hot stamping.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting operation of the equipment.
- Setup and maintain vision systems to be at the quality standard required while preventing any unnecessary scrap/waste.
- Maintain correct spare parts inventory and drawings as available.
- Maintaining, revising, repairing, scheduling, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Able to keep documentation of downtime, scrap, production efficiencies, etc., and process that information to be tracked in metrics.
- Create and perform continuous improvement projects and activities for the department.
- Assist other technicians as needed.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager
Qualifications
- Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of maintaining an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime.
- Associates or greater college degree in related field, and/or 3-5 years’ experience in related field in supervisory position.
- Capable of successfully completing Arc Flash Training and certification.
- Read, write and speak English.
- Past experience / proven ability within the specified disciplines.
- Negative drug screen test results.
- Experience in PLC programming and vision system programming preferred.
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in assembly equipment or closure slitting preferred.
