Job Summary:
As a Manufacturing Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing processes, and leading a team to achieve production targets. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.
Job Duties:
· Manage day-to-day operations of the plant, including production scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation to meet production targets
· Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements
· Promote and enforce a culture of safety throughout the plant, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and protocols
· Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains, leading initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve productivity
· Recruit, train, and mentor plant staff, setting performance goals, providing regular feedback, and creating development opportunities to foster a high-performing team
· Oversee inventory levels and materials procurement to ensure adequate supply for production needs while minimizing excess inventory
· Develop and manage the plant budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety
· Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order, scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs as needed
· Work closely with other departments such as engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance to coordinate activities and achieve organizational goals
· Prepare regular reports on plant performance, including production metrics, quality metrics, safety statistics, and financial results, presenting findings to senior management as needed
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
· HS diploma or equivalent required
· Eight-plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment required
· Five-plus years of experience supervising or leading a team in a manufacturing operation required
· Five-plus years of experience with sheet metal fabrication, welding, or industrial electrical wiring processes required
· Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety standards required
· Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams; good judgment and ability to work with others at all levels required
· Proven track record of driving process improvements, achieving operational excellence, and resolving production or equipment problems required
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines required
· Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment required
· Familiarity with budget management, cost control measures required
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and manufacturing software (e.g., ERP systems); basic computer skills required
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly listening skills required
· Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations required
· Flexibility with work hours required
· Alignment with company core values required
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelors in Business administration, engineering, or related field preferred
· Lean and 5S experience is preferred
· Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory requirements
· P&L experience preferred
· Budgeting and scheduling experience preferred
