Responsibilities
A Training and Development Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of employees within an organization. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, below are some key responsibilities and qualifications associated with this role:
Responsibilities:
- Identify Training Needs: Conduct assessments to determine the training needs of employees and the organization.
- Develop Training Programs: Design and develop training programs, including selecting appropriate training methods (e.g., virtual, in-person, on-the-job training). On the floor or at the spot training support is also a key function.
- Coordinate Training Sessions: Schedule and organize training sessions, ensuring all logistics are handled, such as venues, materials, and equipment.
- Deliver Training: Facilitate training sessions, either directly or by coordinating with external trainers.
- Evaluate Effectiveness: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of training activities, participant progress, and outcomes. Ensure automation when maintaining records and issue analytics when requested.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with department heads to align training programs with organizational goals.
- Employee Engagement & HR: Play a critical role on the HR team by supporting ongoing HR activities, engagement, etc. Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and promoting engagement initiatives such as surveys, plant or site specific activities.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: A degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred. SHRM certification preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in training and development, instructional design, or a similar role. Experience with ISO and Quality Management Systems is preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms is also beneficial. Strong communication verbal & written, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills are crucial.
