What You will Do:
- Assist in the compounding process by staging raw materials, cleaning equipment, and following established protocols under the guidance of the operations Area Manager.
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize laboratory glassware, utensils, and equipment, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the laboratory, including washing countertops, sinks, and work areas, and disposing of waste materials properly.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, restocking supplies, and maintaining accurate records of consumables and broken equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality guidelines of patient privacy regulations.
- Maintains familiarity and compliance with compounding standards, including USP <795> and <800>.
- Understands and follows all relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
- We will provide training upon hire for all PPE. Team Members may be exposed to chemicals used in the preparation of compounds, some are classified as hazardous and/or toxic by the National Institute for Safety and Health (NIOSH) and special safety precautions must be taken when working with these chemicals.
- Collaborate with Team Members to ensure smooth operations and contribute to a positive work environment.
What You will Need:
- Ability to obtain pharmacy technician licensure if applicable.
- Required to undergo respirator fit testing - Full beards or a lot of facial hair may prevent a proper seal for the respirator
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be capable of working with small, delicate pieces of expensive machinery to complete appropriate dosage forms in a timely manner.
- Must have visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- The ability to lift at least 40 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a variety of positions and locations such as sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and walking; for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to wear the required PPE for long periods of time when required.
- Able to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Bonus:
- 1+ years of experience in a compounding lab environment or a kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide feedback.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and quality standards is desirable.
