The General Manager of DJ Industrial should plan, direct and support activities of customer service and operations of the Industrial Business Unit (SBU) to accomplish budgeted financial and operational objectives. The General Manager will report directly to the Regional Manager of the Industrial SBU.

Essential Functions- Responsible for overall branch sales and operations
- Oversee teams and team leads in the areas of Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Warehouse, and Assembly
- Experienced in leading cross functional teams
- Managing and influencing sales and margin goals
- Develops and recommends short- and long-range objectives consistent with SBU guidelines.
- Recommends plans and budgets and conducts activities in accordance with approved plans and budgets.
- Through the Regional Customer Service Manager, supports sales growth, proper inventory levels, and gross profit margin improvement, and executes customer service initiatives to increase customer satisfaction.
- Through the Director of Operations, facilitates the smooth flow of on-time orders to customers, while maintaining a high margin and minimizing operational problems for the company.
- Ensures that operating units conform to provincial regulations.
- Assure proper workplace climate for associate engagement and on-going associate development.
- Maintains appropriate communications within and between various functional areas within the areas of responsibility, other functions within the Industrial SBU and other SunSource business units.
- Establishes and maintains satisfactory customer and public relations, through direct or delegated contacts with representative individuals or groups.
- Reviews organization and staffing plans to ensure that they are consistent and adequate for attainment of division objectives. Administers salary and associate retention policy programs. Recommends modifications of these programs as necessary.
Experience, Education and Skills- Minimum 10 years of management experience required.
- Experience within leadership of sales, service and operations of fluid power value-add distribution industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong sales skills required.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required.
