Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set-up and operation of production utility machinery per specifications.
- Maintains resin/additive levels in blenders and hoppers and perform effective changeovers.
- Responsible for ensuring the line is running quality film at optimal rate and monitored throughout the shift.
- Plan for changeovers by having cores cut, material staged, drain time sheets made, packaging supplies ready, etc.
- Perform QA responsibilities for updating the QA database and double checking verification checklists
- Perform Floater responsibilities for assisting other setups, watching materials, checking alarms, assisting in packaging of production rolls and change overs
- Effectively transports finished goods and raw materials to storage areas using a forklift.
- Effectively handles and documents loose roll scrap for disposition as directed by the production supervisor.
- Adhere to Berry Global Safety Absolutes and all safety policies while reporting all maintenance and safety issues immediately
- Participate in continuous improvement of operation.
- Performs Daily preventive maintenance as assigned
- Continuously pursue the establishment and reinforcement of a high performance work team environment
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and clean area as needed.
- Must work effectively with co-workers as a team member and support safe, quality production
- Performs and assists in other tasks as directed by supervision/management
- Maintains Good Manufacturing Practices
- Complete any other reports as required by senior management.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience working in manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to trouble shoot, multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, motivated, good organizational skills and strong communication skills
- Reliable with a strong attendance record
- Ability to interface with employees at all levels within the facility
- Safety orientated with a continuous improvement mindset
