ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Stationary Engineer.
The Engineer is responsible for all activities related to the maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems within a property. The duties may include the maintenance and operations of HVACR equipment and controls. Other systems may include chilled water systems, boilers, refrigeration systems and other mechanical or electrical building systems. The Engineer must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.

Operate and maintain stationary engines, boilers, and other mechanical equipment to provide utilities such as light, heat, or power for buildings and industrial processes.
Monitor and inspect equipment to ensure it is operating efficiently and safely.
Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime.
Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and repairs.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Monitor and control building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
Adjust controls and valves to regulate the flow of fuel, air, and water.
Test boiler water and add chemicals as needed to prevent corrosion and scale.
Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
Coordinate with other maintenance staff and departments to ensure seamless operations.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements.

- Valid stationary engineer’s license as required by local regulations preferred
- Proven experience as a stationary engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, boilers, and stationary engines.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
