Responsibilities
- The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting the design, programming, assembly, installation, and support of automation projects throughout the Berry Global, Waynesboro VA facility.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Siemen’s automation and mechanical hands-on experience with motors and drives.
- Perform a daily walk though giving attention to all lines, condition of equipment, and Safety.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Check Production Schedule daily for line-time and troubleshooting of equipment relating to product mix.
- Utilize JDE system daily for scheduled PM's.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties on all electronic equipment.
- Repair offline and online Automation equipment including Robots.
- Maintain high level of housekeeping in and around work area.
- Perform job requirements in safe and professional manner.
- Perform any other duties as established by the Maintenance supervisor and or Technical manager.
- Understands Importance GMP
Qualifications
- Two year degree in automation, manufacturing or proven hands-on control experience.
- Proven experience in PLC logic, programming and development of HMIs.
- Knowledge of set up and communications of Seaman’s AC/DC drives preferred.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Ability and desire to learn new technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
