Responsibilities
We are looking for you to join our Hanover Berry Team:
Work just 15 days a Month with a Rotating Schedule with a 12 hour shift!!!
(Bi-weekly Schedule: work Monday & Tuesday, off Wednesday & Thursday, work Friday, Saturday & Sunday, off Monday & Tuesday, work Wednesday & Thursday, off Friday Saturday & Sunday then the schedule starts over)
Quality Assurance Inspector - Overnight (7pm-7am)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The purpose of this position is to perform daily QC analysis, tests, and checks on production containers.
- Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.
- Responsible for adhering to Food Safety Compliance.
- Respond to any emergency or potential emergency.
- Security diligence, including maintaining control of door accesses, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Berry employees and proper maintenance/security of Berry equipment and information.
- Constant vigilance and participation in GMP and SQF practices.
- Assist in the prevention of nonconforming product from being shipped to customers.
- Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality systems.
- Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems.
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
- Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes or systems and very the implementation of solutions.
- Conduct start-up checks and report deviations to the Production Manager.
- Perform physical tests to determine if product meets customer requirements.
- Communicate with prior shift (inspectors, packers, and operators) to find out about any potential or existing problems and changes.
- Check and review schedule and work orders.
- Check and review specifications as needed.
- Check containers at each station to ensure correct packaging and materials are being used.
- Do lab test as required.
- Check calibration of equipment.
- Conduct Daily quality audits.
- Troubleshoot potential quality issues.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous quality assurance experience preferred
- Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- Computer skills—Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook (or similar software)
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. occasionally
- High School Diploma or GED required
