Responsibilities
- Take immediate action to address a safety hazard. And/or any quality issues.
- Daily review of housekeeping with focus on your areas: The lab needs to stay clean.
- Respond to employee concerns of safety, or quality issues with the respect that it deserves.
- Operate all equipment in the assigned area of responsibility in a safe and professional manner. This task includes lab and process related equipment.
- Understanding on how to disposition return product as necessary.
- Monitor product quality and compare specifications by using inspection and testing procedures to identify and correct defects.
- Test and monitor R&D projects and track results. Using approved documentation.
- Monitor and test all “required” customer products daily. No exceptions.
- Diagnose and suggest corrective actions for quality issues using analysis techniques.
- Responsible for placing non-conforming product found during testing.
- Accurately record and report color inventory on a bi-weekly basis.
- Ensure proper GMP training during new hire orientation, including documentation of completion.
- Provide metrology services, including maintenance when needed, of the calibration system, gauging, and or test equipment to measure the various product/processes characteristics.
- Assist with special projects related to quality, as required by department manager.
- Maintain knowledge of QMS and ISO Standards. As well as HACCP guidelines.
- Follow and encourage GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Daily monitoring of the production lines for quality concerns as well as QANS.
- Lab line checklists completed daily. Results communicated to team leads, and relevant information recorded in lab shift report. Along with daily activities.
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 yrs experience in Quality Systems
- Full testing and recording of Tensile, Gauge, Dart, and Tear tests must be completed in less than 45 minutes.
- Trouble shooting skills must be in line with ensuring consistent, quality products.
- Ability to come to accurate conclusions based on data analysis.
- Good attendance is key.
- Good communication skills necessary.
- Good documentation skills necessary.
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience a plus.
