Plastic Packer/Machine Operator Summary: runs presses, sets molds per set-up sheets, gets necessary equipment to run jobs, monitors and records molding processes, helps with packing.
Plastic Packer/Machine Operator Experience / Training:
- Previous factory work experience preferred
- On-the-job training.
- High School Diploma, GED or the ability to pass a reading, writing and math skills test.
Plastic Packer/Machine Operator Responsibilities:
- Reads operating instructions for each job assignment prior to starting job.
- Handles various types of plastic products
- Operate hydraulic or injection press per instructions.
- Inspects ware for visible defects or flaws
- Use various hand tools such as files or other finishing equipment to descale and finish parts
- Assembles and packs products per company and customer standards.
- Keep press(es) filled with material and place molded parts into proper ware pans.
- General clean-up, perform other duties as requested.
Pay:
- Weekly Pay
- $14.30/hour
- + Incentive pay per hour!!!
Hours:
- Additional shift premium pay: Paid when working 2nd or 3rd shift:
- Shift Assignment: Training conducted on 1st shift, then could be assigned to 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
- Hours: 8-hours per week day, plus weekday and weekend overtime as needed.
- Overtime: Paid at time and one-half for hours worked beyond 8 hours in a given day.
Requirements
- Ability to stand Physical and or be on your feet for eight or more hours.
- Good vision, correctable with glasses.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. - at least 10% of time
