Key Responsibilities
- Manages multiple large software engineering groups responsible for the design, development, marketing and implementation of exceptionally complex engineering programs in accordance with project budgets and release schedules.
- Develops strategic long-range plans and creates software engineering or complex product specific strategies to reach goals and reviews the division's engineering specifications.
- Anticipates strategic long-term future needs and initiates the software development and implementation of new approaches to engineering design and development. Scope of programs will often cut across divisional boundaries and products.
- Provides approval guidelines and leadership to reporting software engineering senior managers & directors in the area of long-term program, strategy, and process design. Influences strategy and long-term programs of other functional groups (e.g. controls engineering, mechanical engineering) in the business unit.
- Works with senior business group, division, and segment management team to ensure that such programs, strategies, and processes are aligned with the organization’s and company's direction.
- Defines software performance metrics and reports on the engineering functions’ progress against specific, complex division goals.
- Interfaces with internal and external customers on highly complex engineering issues involving the division’s products. Responsible for identification and implementation of solutions to address customer high value problems (HVP) on complex issues involving the division and segment.

U.S. Salary Range:
$240,000.00 - $330,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
