Chewy is recruiting for an Indirect Procurement Category Management Director responsible for Fulfilment Center Sourcing including Real Estate transactions and Outsourced Services. This leader will drive the development, implementation, vision and strategy for the Fulfilment Center Sourcing team. This includes providing flexible, adaptable, and innovative sourcing support to the business area. The candidate will also be responsible for collaboration and partnering to be a trusted advisor to the executive leadership and functional leadership team to drive strategic sourcing and supply management.
What You'll Do:
- Personally develops, leads, and handles all fulfilment center lease transactions and outsourced services & sub-categories.
- Ability to assess and scale an impactful team that can go above and beyond year over year, build a compelling, logical case for organizational change. You will be leading and inspiring the team, creating a sense of purpose, engagement, communication, collaboration, and celebrate successes.
- Ensure Indirect Procurement is a commercial asset and not just a compliance function. Specifically, where the business is not engaged, find ways of improving engagement and develop a plan of action.
- Develop and lead a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program to include Business reviews, Scorecards (Supplier Performance Ratings), and Risk Management.
- Champion and enact pan-business sourcing to demonstrate Chewy’s buying power.
- Drives end-to-end category strategy, mapping out the current landscape and defining an improvement plan for the near, mid, and long-term to stimulate interest from and engagement with partners.
- Co-develop and implement sourcing strategies with the business, authoritatively advising and guiding the process to the best-fit approach, tactics, and tools (e.g., outcome-based specifications, RFP/RFI/RFQ builds, E-auctions, KPI/SLA development).
What You'll Need:
- BA or BS required; MBA preferred. Procurement qualifications are a plus (e.g., CSPM, APP, ISM, IPMM or MCIPS).
- Proven experience in building and scaling strategic procurement teams to be able to succeed in a global, complex, and innovative environment.
- 15 + years of experience in Global Strategic Sourcing Procurement organizations, with at least 10 years in using spans and layers modeling to build high performance teams.
- Expertise in driving commercial real estate agreements, equipment lease and purchase strategies, and familiarity with Federal Regulations.
- Expertise in developing, leading, driving and managing suppliers, and contract negotiations including achievement of TCO value. Extensive knowledge of category management, extraordinary practices and principles.
- Demonstrating value delivery to a target audience of C-Suite, VP/Sr. Dir / Dir level Team Members to reinforce stakeholder agreement.
- Leadership skills to effectively advise and drive their team to achieve results in a global organization.
- Proven track record to deliver measurable and valuable results against the organization's goals.
- Deep experience in P2P/procure-to-pay/source-to-pay enablement (Oracle/Coupa)
- High level of customer focus and an ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment.
- Up to 15% travel may be required.
Compensation & Benefits:
Our salary range for a Director, Procurement position is $180,500.00 - $288,500.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
