A Lead Electrical Engineer is capable of leading/driving design decisions, oversee project staff, and is capable of being the main point of contact for a project.
Key Results Area #1:
Fully understand follow EP drafting standards. Responsible for consistent sheet and background set-up. Establish a high level of efficiency for all drafting tasks. Complete construction documents with a high level of accuracy and completeness. Set a standard for effective communication with staff and with other design professionals.
Key Results Area #2:
Assist owner in making informed lighting and systems decisions at start of projects. Responsible for full lighting design and documentation on projects. Develop accurate, code-compliant, coordinated, and efficient designs. Offer responsive construction administration services. Expertise in full power and systems design and documentation on projects. Perform facility assessments.
Key Results Area #3:
Mentor younger staff to help them develop on projects. Perform quality assurance checks.
Minimum:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an ABET accredited program.
- 4+ Years relevant electrical design experience as a student, intern or closely related through commercial work experience, academic research and/or academic coursework.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred:
- Active Professional Engineer in the state of Minnesota.
