Responsibilities
- Issue COA for Chippewa Falls plant
- Manage plant laboratory calibration program
- Works with Production and Technical Departments to ensure product specifications are entered in the Access Database.
- Works with Production and Technical Departments to ensure trial and sample materials are properly tested, identified, packaged and delivered.
- Ensures documentation internal and external is accurate and complete
- Conduct film testing in accordance with product specification
- Perform internal audits as scheduled.
- Manage the complaint system by:
- Obtaining samples and validating claims
- Assigning responsibility throughout the organization
- Driving complaints to a timely closure and respond to internal/external customers
- Validate effectiveness of actions taken
- Write/modify work instructions for equipment and testing protocols.
- Conduct all job duties in accordance with the company’s published policies.
- Identify and communicate the need for new lab equipment and lab supplies as necessary.
- Compile and report quality metrics as assigned
- Report and analyze work load data to Quality Manager.
- Ensure the proper retention and disposal of retains.
- Ensure proper filing of documents in accordance with company and department requirements
- Prompt and professional communication with internal and external customers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred with minimum 2 years of quality assurance work related experience.
- Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Power point, Word and Access).
- ISO 9001and Food Safety experience preferred.
- Internal Auditor Certification preferred
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Mature disposition in all communications
- Highly motivated, self-directed work ethic and ability to collaborate in team setting
- Ability to interpret statistical results.
- Detail Orientated, quality minded, self-aware of actions and attitudes
