Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Material Handler for Compression Molding is responsible for ensuring raw materials, components, and finished products are efficiently managed throughout the production floor. This role plays a critical part in maintaining workflow, minimizing downtime, and ensuring product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods to designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Ensure molding machines are properly supplied with the required materials to maintain continuous production.
- Measure, weigh, and mix raw materials following specified formulas for the compression molding process.
- Assist in loading and unloading molds, ensuring proper alignment and material distribution.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to supervisors.
- Label and document material movements accurately for inventory tracking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support 5S and safety standards.
- Assist operators in machine setup, mold changes, and troubleshooting material-related issues.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform quality checks to ensure materials meet required specifications
- Preparation of any special materials that may require manual mixing
- Packaging of finished product and building palletized loads to customers specifications.
- Applying appropriate labels of packaging slips for product identification.
- Grinding of plastic components for the purpose of materials reuse.
- Monitoring and operation of automated packaging equipment to insure proper performance.
Skills:
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with production teams.
Able to work 12hr shift schedule

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or molding environment preferred.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic understanding of inventory management systems and material flow processes.
