Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or other similar technical degree.
1-3 years’ experience in scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday - 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
This position will focus on production planning supporting the sales, manufacturing and supply chain departments by assisting in achieving the daily production objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Build, establish and manage an accurate, reliable and efficient Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Gather input from Sales, Production in a structured formal venue to achieve plan accuracy and efficiency and to develop and maintain accurate production and inventory plans to meet forecast needs.
- Evaluate capacity and lead time, ensuring production meets demand for assigned work centers. Advise on scheduling issues and recommend solutions.
- Maintain master data files, prepare work packages, and utilize SAP for customer order fulfillment.
- Review and update safety stock levels, participate in cycle counts, and ensure operations meet shipping dates.
- Monitor, analyze, and report production performance using SAP data. Train and assist in improving group competency.
- Perform mathematical analysis, use statistical tools, and prepare accurate reports for management.
- Manage production and supply chain projects, provide support for continuous improvement, and contribute to preventive and corrective actions.
- Communicate any over/under capacity conditions and recommendations for risk mitigation in converting.
- Develop and provide inventory level reports for FG with actual and optimum levels (weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual) for inventory turnover, inventory accuracy, and inventory adjustments including root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with the Procurement, Paper Mill Planning, Production Manager to confirm the production schedule before distribution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or other similar technical degree.
- 1-3 years’ experience in scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and analytical analysis
- Working knowledge and solid comprehension of SAP or other large-scale ERP system
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving solving, and interpersonal relationship skills are required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
