Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to oversee our manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing projects within the automotive or manufacturing industry, with a focus on plastic injection molding components. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, coordinating project timelines, ensuring quality standards are met, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or obstacles, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular meetings with project team members to track progress, address issues, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce quality standards for plastic molding components, ensuring products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Implement quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process to identify and resolve defects or deviations promptly.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to conduct audits, inspections, and product testing to maintain high-quality standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, including engineering, production, procurement, and sales teams.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between different departments to streamline processes and optimize project outcomes.
- Work closely with external suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components, maintaining strong relationships to support project objectives.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements within the manufacturing operations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing practices, Six Sigma methodologies, and Kaizen events, to enhance productivity and quality.
- Analyze project performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate success and identify areas for enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in project management within the automotive or manufacturing industry, with a focus on plastic injection molding components or related technologies.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as Agile, Scrum, or PMBOK.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively.
- Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and regulatory compliance in manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) and MS Office Suite.
