Responsibilities
Responsibilities/Principal Duties:
- Safety – Performs all tasks in a safe manner, wearing required PPE and following all safety regulations.
- BBS and Near-miss reporting participation
- Create and maintain a team effort attitude and team approach
- Meet productivity standards
- Complete required documentation
- Troubleshoot issues with quality or productivity related to the team or the machine
- Make adjustments to machinery as needed
- Suggest improvements to processes or procedures
- Coordinate with lab personnel, Team Leaders and Sr. Process Engineers for issues and improvements
- Perform 6S and other housekeeping duties required for clean and safe work environment
- Obtain and maintain three Certifications
- Train others as needed
- Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Education: High school education or GED equivalent is required. Ability to read a tape measure.
- Experience: Recent manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Physical/Cognitive Requirements: Work is performed on the plant floor with frequent contact with others.
- Requires a positive team-oriented attitude and communication skills.
- Must also be able to multi-task, with little direction while maintaining a high attention to details.
- Requires prolonged standing and walking, frequent bending, stooping and stretching, manual dexterity.
- Required to occasionally ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast-moving machinery.
- Occasional lifing up to 50 pounds.
- Required to safely access fast moving machinery, which includes rolls with inward nip points.
Knowledge of and skills in the use of office machines (computer and copier) and business procedures.
Job functions will be performed in and around production lines, warehouse, silos’, pumping stations.
- Internal and External Contacts:
Primary contact is with internal customers; some contact with external customers and suppliers. Excellent communication skills are essential.
