Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on regular intervals
- Troubleshoot PLC's and drives
- Respond to reported automation, vision, and robot issues
- Troubleshoot pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical problems with machines
- Replace necessary components such as sensors, electric wiring, cylinders, bearings, conveyors, motors, air/vacuum lines and valves
- Work with assembly line operators as needed to troubleshoot issues
- Communicate all changes and all-important information to Manager or supervisor
- Ensure all system performances are optimized and running safely
- Record accurate production data that includes all necessary information needed for tracking purposes
- Perform housekeeping duties as necessary
- Support and maintain policies of the company including ISO standards, Health & Safety requirements, continuous improvement, and standard work procedures
- Report unsafe conditions and behaviors
- Relieve assembly line operators as needed to meet production requirements
Qualifications
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Must be mechanically inclined and electrically proficient
- Must be safety and quality conscience at all times
- 5-7 years of maintenance & automation experience preferred
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Additional training may be required retain position
- Must be familiar with the operation of PLC's, drives, and robots
- Must be responsibile, self-motivated, and team orientated. Must be able to make decisions with minimal supervision
- Must have willingness to take a "hands-on" approach during times of process interruption
