We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and improving the operational processes within our warehouse facility. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks, implement innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. What you'll do:
- Conduct thorough analyses of warehouse processes to identify areas for improvement, including workflow design, material handling, equipment utilization, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including warehouse operations, logistics, quality assurance, and management, to gather input, identify pain points, and develop effective process improvement strategies.
- Utilize data analysis techniques to measure and evaluate process performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose data-driven solutions for optimization.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety within warehouse operations.
- Design and implement process flow diagrams, value stream maps, and other visual tools to communicate process changes, improvement plans, and performance metrics.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for automation and technology integration to streamline warehouse processes and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure that equipment and machinery are properly maintained and optimized for maximum efficiency.
- Actively participate in cross-functional project teams to support the implementation of process improvement initiatives, providing technical expertise and guidance.
- Conduct regular process audits to identify compliance gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in warehouse operations and process engineering, and apply this knowledge to enhance warehouse performance.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Process Engineer or Industrial Engineer in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement frameworks.
- Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, Six Sigma software).
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and other relevant software applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes, recommend solutions, and drive implementation.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
This is a hybrid-remote position and the individual must sit local to one of our fulfillment centers in Las Vegas, NV, or Fort Worth, TX, Pittston, PA
