Applied Materials’ Computational Products and Solutions group is searching for an intern to join our team in summer 2024! Our work involves developing realistic multi-physics models of Applied Materials processing tools and optimizing them for the next-generation of applications. Our group is also responsible for developing and maintaining the commercial multi-physics simulation tool ACE+ that is in use by leading companies across the globe.
Responsibilities
Support the development of multi-physics models of Applied Materials chambers including flow, plasma, thermal, and electromagnetics
Assist with running and implementing complex software workflows using scripting tools such as python
Perform testing and optimization of ACE+ software modules
Build custom software applications
Requirements
Pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or a related field
Good academic standing with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
Experience in semiconductor processing, plasma physics or electromagnetics preferred
Experience using or developing physics simulation software preferred
Experience in programming (C/C++, Matlab, Python) preferred
Flexible and adaptable mindset who excels in a results driven culture
Compensation
$41 per hour
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
