Pay: 120,000 to 160,000
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Job Description: Project / Construction Manager - Electrical Engineer (Electrical Charging Bus Depots)
Position Summary:
The Project / Construction Manager – Electrical Engineer will oversee the design, development, and implementation of electrical charging infrastructure for bus depots. This role is pivotal in the transition to an eco-friendly public transportation system and requires a thorough understanding of electrical engineering, construction, and project management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Planning
Collaborate with stakeholders, including utility providers, city planners, and transportation officials, to determine charging infrastructure needs.Review and approve electrical designs for charging systems, ensuring they meet all local, state, and federal regulations.Conduct feasibility studies and propose solutions for efficient and cost-effective charging infrastructure.
Project Management
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they stay on time, within scope, and under budget.Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and other documentation.Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other team members to ensure seamless execution.
Construction Oversight
Supervise construction activities, ensuring all safety and quality standards are adhered to.Coordinate and manage site inspections, ensuring all installations align with approved plans.Resolve any on-site issues or disputes related to electrical installations or construction activities.
Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for all charging infrastructure-related matters with both internal and external stakeholders.Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and milestones.Foster positive relationships with utility providers, contractors, suppliers, and local governments.
Maintenance and Upgrade Planning
Develop and implement maintenance schedules for charging infrastructure.Stay updated with the latest technology trends in electric bus charging and propose upgrades when necessary.
Compliance and Documentation
Ensure all projects are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Maintain detailed project documentation, including designs, approvals, inspections, and other relevant records.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s Degree or relevant certifications will be an added advantage.Proven experience in project and construction management, preferably in transportation or energy sectors.In-depth understanding of electrical systems and charging infrastructure.Familiarity with local, state, and federal electrical and construction regulations.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Proficient in project management software and electrical design tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Required to be OSHA 30-Hour Certified. All Superintendent level personnel are to be OSHA 62 Certified and shall be licensed by NYC DOB.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to visit and inspect construction sites regularly.Ability to work both indoors in an office setting and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
