We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a world-class manufacturer and distributor to the North American vehicle aftermarket. Our client is a global leader in its product portfolio of aftermarket products. Headquartered in Goldsboro, NC, the company also has locations in Indiana and PA. The ideal candidate possesses both a high level of technical expertise and an innate passion to build. You will play a critical role in creating and refining processes in order to improve manufacturing safety, quality, and productivity. The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the design of production tools and /or machines and for developing solutions to production problems relating to materials, processes and tooling. This position supports new programs by developing new process, designing tooling and machinery, and developing production controls.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain work instructions and manufacturing specifications
- Identify and recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate production process and evaluate potential changes
- Program and operate CAM software for CNC machining
- Utilize metal fabrication, welding, and other expertise to implement mistake proofing control methods to increase quality, productivity and reduce costs of manufacturing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in either Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years in a Manufacturing Engineer role
- Experience with Lean, Kaizen, Kanban and 5S
- Experience in Solidworks with CAM software
