Job description:
MSR-FSR is looking for an accomplished Robot/Automation Engineer to support MSR-FSR operations by programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining various 6-axis robotic systems. This role is hands-on and requires strong technical competency, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment.
Scope of work:
Program and modify robot programs and troubleshoot robotic automation.
Perform PLC and HMI programming, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Program and optimize efficiencies with various product lines.
Conduct preventive maintenance of equipment in support with Facilities team.
Design, verify, and maintain fixture program.
Assist with installation, setup, integration, and startup of robotic systems.
Document issues, repairs, and changes using AutoCAD, MS Office, Outlook, and collaborating with third party suppliers/vendors.
Complete all required work orders and technical paperwork.
Qualifications:
College Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics & Automation or equivalent.
Experience in engineering or technical roles, preferably in automated manufacturing.
Hands on experience including programming, path adjustments, and troubleshooting.
Experience Requirements:
Strong knowledge of industrial robots (Panasonic, KUKA, Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa).
Experience with robotics programming (Minimum 2-3 years’ experience)
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Involved in maintenance and robotic cell assembly to ensure equipment functions consistently.
Read and interpret machine drawings and schematics.
Repair, overhaul, assemble and dismantle equipment using power tools, hand tools, machine and welding tools.
Maintain shop tools and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned and required.
Electrical and basic machining knowledge is an asset.
This position will be important in programming our TWAS machines, High Pressure Water Strip machine and other future robotics.
Work Environment:
Semiconductor industry automation/cleaning environment requiring hands-on work with robots, electrical systems, and fixturing. Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required. International and Domestic Travel is necessary as well to fan out technology with multiple sites.
