Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for safely operating a reach truck to receive, store, and organize inventory while maintaining accurate records in the inventory management system. The role includes leading inventory projects, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring warehouse operations run efficiently across two warehouse locations.
Essential Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Accurately and safely put away inbound shipments with a reach truck.
- Maintain and update records in the inventory management system.
- Check inbound deliveries for accuracy; report any discrepancies, missing parts, or defects to the supervisor immediately.
- Ensure that inventory is stored and organized properly.
- Participate in regular inventory counts.
- Lead the team in inventory projects and other tasks assigned.
- Utilize PDA scanner when moving products in and out of inventory.
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly, and perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment.
- Report any damages to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
- Travel between two warehouse sites.
- Follow Company safety and quality procedures, and other policies and guidelines governing Company operations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience operating a Reach truck is REQUIRED.
- 2+ years of experience performing similar tasks in a relevant warehouse setting.
- Experience with warehouse equipment, such as cherry pickers, and forklifts.
- Experience utilizing PDA scanners.
- Accurate data entry and record-keeping in inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate with coworkers in a respectful, concise, and clear manner.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Requires flexibility and reliable transportation to travel between two warehouse sites on different days of the week.
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to stand and bend for long periods of time with occasional squat, stoop, and turn at waist in a warehouse environment. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs. unassisted. Must be comfortable working at significant heights on machinery (up to 24 feet). Must be able to drive between multiple warehouse locations. Job Location and Work Schedule:
- This is a full-time position based out of our two locations listed below. This position will work at both locations on various days of the week.
- Headquarters Location: 13808 Boudreaux Road, Bldg. #2, Tomball, TX 77377.
- Greens Locations: 1521 Greens Rd, Suite 100, Houston TX, 77032.
- Monday through Friday.
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Lunch break 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
- Pay range starts between $18-$20 per hour.
- Flexible Paid Time Off.
- 12 PTO days per year, accrued bi-weekly, with incremental increases annually.
