Aretum is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Tester to join our talented team. As a QA Tester, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality standards for our software products. At Aretum, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional technology solutions to our clients in various sectors, including defense and civilian applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate application functionality
- Conduct thorough testing of software applications, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues found during testing
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure a high level of quality in the software applications
- Provide timely and accurate status updates on testing progress and any issues encountered
- Participate in meetings and discussions to provide input and feedback on application testing
- Active Secret Security clearance
- CompTIA Security+ certification or IAT-II equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in software application testing, preferably in a government contracting environment
- 5+ years of experience in .NET platform development and/or testing
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Experience with test planning, test case creation, and test execution
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile and scrum methodologies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automated testing tools
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Travel Requirements
This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
