Responsibilities
- Injection Molding Machine setups and troubleshooting
- Set cycle times, clamp tonnage, size, color, etc. to ensure product meets quality standards
- Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings to resolve flash, shorting, pinching, burning or other defects
- Work collaboratively with Quality Control department to ensure adjustments for weight or size are completed as needed
- Complete insert changes, color changes, resin and regrind changes
- Perform startup and shutdowns of plant
- Assist Auxiliary department
- Install, adjust and remove auxiliary equipment as required
- Adjust handle, gasket or other auxiliary equipment
- Check and sign off on auxiliary equipment
- Assist Maintenance department
- Assist with mold maintenance
- Complete basic electrical troubleshooting
- Other duties that may be required
- Ensure production facility remains clean and, organized and in a safe condition
- Monitor and reduce rejects and ensure recording is accurate
- Conduct visual inspections on product
- Confirm and unload rail cars
- Check Reject Sheets from operators and input in computer
- Inform staff of upcoming product changes and update product and packaging information as required
- Safely operate overhead crane, man lift, acetylene torch, and forklifts
- Monitor and reduce rejects and ensure recording is accurate
- Organize and monitor floor support
- Attend and prepare updates for production meetings

- 1 - 3 years related experience
- First Aid certified
- Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools required in various assembly processes
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labour
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Demonstrated ability to operate material-handling equipment
- Successful completion of in house training, including forklift, overhead crane
