Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department with various administrative tasks in our growing company. The ideal candidate will play an important role in supporting day-to-day human resource functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment processes: job postings, screenings, scheduling interviews, and onboarding.
- Manage employee records and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and communication.
- Assist with performance review processes.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Participate in HR projects, initiatives, events and general administrative duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
- 4+ years of proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within Human Resources.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and HR software is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in data collection and data entry with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in interviewing candidates is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite is highly desirable.
