Nautic Partners, LLC completed its acquisition of the Specialty Tapes business from Berry Global Group, Inc., rebranding the company as Vybond™. As a standalone business, Vybond is poised to strengthen its leadership in pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, delivering innovative solutions to industrial and specialty markets worldwide. Headquartered in Franklin, KY, with facilities in Riverhead, NY, and Bristol, RI, Vybond Group, Inc. manufactures specialty foil, film, and duct tapes and adhesives. With over 1,500 specialty SKUs spanning 500+ product families, Vybond serves 1,500+ customers across the HVAC, building and construction, industrial, retail, medical, aerospace, automotive, and other specialty industries.
Responsibilities
Execute capital projects including:
Develop detailed mechanical designs and specifications for new equipment.
Plan, budget, schedule, and execute projects in a timely manner.
Justify project by benefits to achieve approval of funds
Collaborate with vendors, contractors, operations, and other engineers to ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment.
Manage resources to complete project installation and startup
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and progress reports.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Provide training as needed to maintenance & operations
Identify and lead Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) to:
Improve safety
Reduce cost by improving productivity and reducing waste
Improve product quality and resolve reoccurring quality complaints
Improve equipment reliability
Assume a leadership role providing technical expertise to handle the most challenging problems
Assist production and maintenance in solving difficult technical problems
Support Quality in the root cause analysis of complaints
Support manufacturing improvements through project management and engineering expertise
Generate ideas and solutions to specific problems and plant improvement opportunities
Investigate new processes, equipment, and methods to provide competitive advantages
Continually develop and improve process knowledge and continuous improvement skills
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline (Mechanical required)
5-7 years experience in Mechanical Engineering field preferred.
3-5 years experience of managing major CAPEX projects.
Proficient AutoCAD skills are required.
Project management skills are strongly considered.
Proven ability to lead $MM projects.
Strong leadership, people, and communications skills.
Strong technical problem-solving skills.
Strong Computer literacy is preferred.
Experience and understanding of process systems, metrics, Continuous Improvement Projects and SPC
