Our Opportunity:

We at Chewy seek a highly motivated, analytical, and hard-working Senior Financial Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team to support promotions! Combining an understanding of finance, practical knowledge of financial statements and using data to make-and-drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to drive and optimize Chewy’s company-wide and vertical-level promotional strategies, drive cohesion and cross-functional collaboration, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct in-depth analyses and modeling of promotions systems and strategies to deliver business insights, reporting and analyses, and recommendations and/or conclusions to leadership.
  • Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business and help define metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall promotion performance.
  • Collaborate with other teams within Chewy, including the broader Finance team, Product, Accounting, Category Management, and Leadership to pursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business
  • Support business cycle reviews (WBR/MBR/QBR) at various levels of the organization, up through senior management

What You'll Need:

  • BA/BS degree required; Preferred in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, Business Analytics, or Economics
  • 3+ years of relevant finance or other relevant analytical experience with understanding of financial statements
  • Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills (i.e. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience with SQL coding, Hyperion Smartview, Tableau, and Oracle ERP is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to ask questions/share perspectives
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to work with ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
