We are searching for a Manufacturing Controller responsible for providing financial leadership and accounting management for our growing manufacturing division. This person will interact heavily with both plant and corporate personnel and must have a proven track record of successfully leading an accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall monthly close process, including reviewing and approving journal entries and account reconciliations
- Provide financial information by preparing reports and provide recommendations on how to drive financial performance improvement
- Advise on technical accounting matters with a specialization in manufacturing accounting
- Lead special projects to improve accounting process efficiencies
- Monitor bill of materials and work order accuracy
- Perform inventory aging review and collaborate cross functionally to monitor inventory levels
- Responsible for overseeing the accuracy of inventory balances
- Perform monthly financial review variance analysis and present financials to leadership
- Oversee physical inventories and cycle counts processes to ensure inventory accuracy
- Review and monitor capital expenditure transactions for accuracy
- Maintain/implement controls in accounting process
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- Minimum 5 years in managing accounting teams
- Minimum 7 years in Manufacturing Accounting
- Strong analytic abilities and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Travel requirement – 25%
- NetSuite experience preferred
- QuickBooks experience preferred
- System implementation experience preferred
- M&A experience preferred
