At Modern Construction Services, we’re searching for a senior leader who has experience in building and deploying successful General Construction divisions.
The ideal candidate will be able to think strategically at both the micro and macro levels and implement changes at scale.
We’re looking for a qualified candidate who has a track record of successfully growing General Construction companies and delivering effective oversight. This person will orchestrate our big-picture goals, strengthen our brand, and define the path to companywide success.
In addition to the $125,000/year base salary, this position is eligible for an On-Target Bonus of up to 50%-75% of the annual salary (up to $218,000 annually) and based on achieving goals that include (but not limited to) achieving project milestones, inspection and safety standards, client satisfaction, and budget management.
This position will be based at our Charlotte office and will require travel to monitor and engage with employees, clients, and subcontractors at remote project sites. The preferred candidate will have a recent job history in the Charlotte regional market and familiarity with the economic landscape of the region.
- 10+ years experience in General Construction (non-residential), with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling construction divisions, including start-to-finish management for the design, construction and modification of a variety of complex commercial projects.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to implement changes at scale and drive companywide success.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to strengthen brand and orchestrate big-picture goals.
- Ability to lead and develop departmental personnel, project managers, foremen and other department members.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
